ITHACA, N.Y. - Cornell faculty and staff are invited to attend an informational session on the National Science Foundation's (NSF) policy requiring a data management plan with all grant proposals. The policy went into effect January 18, 2011.

Staff from the Research Data Management Service Group (RDMSG) will review the requirements, describe how researchers can obtain assistance from the RDMSG to create data management plans, and answer questions.

Two sessions will be offered:

  • Monday, October 8, 12:30 - 1:30 pm, 102 Mann Library
  • Tuesday, October 9, 1230 - 1:30 pm, 362 Hollister

Advance registration is not required.

Sponsored by Senior Vice Provost for Research Robert Buhrman and University Librarian Anne R. Kenney, the RDMSG is a virtual organization that provides a coordinated, single point of access for information for Cornell researchers on services related to data management. It is supported by the Cornell Center for Advanced Computing (CAC), IT@Cornell, the Cornell Institute for Social and Economic Research (CISER), and the Cornell University Library (CUL).

Please feel free to contact rdmsg-help@cornell.edu if you have questions or need any assistance with creating a data management plan.
